Chapter Creator is a tiny Java app that allows the insertion of chapter points into Matroska files at predefined intervals. I really only wrote it to allow for easier navigation instead of simply fast-forwarding or rewinding (which in general loses A/V sync for a couple of seconds when using h.264 material). I doubt there will be more work.

You can invoke the app by either draggin the file on the launcher icon, dragging it into the dialog window or explicitly opening it via the apps file open dialog.

The code requires a working install of mkvtoolnix.

It's Java, so it will on XP, Vista (haven't tested Win 7, yet), Gnome, KDE (Linux) and Macintsoh. It should run fine on other platforms which support Java.
