You want to cleanly uninstall the old version using the uninstaller or there will be some stray files left). You will not lsoe any data by using the uninstaller and then installing this new version.
Renaming a movie set (movie + related files like fanart & nfo & trailer) no longer kicks off rescrape. You can now freely rename your movie to whatever you like).
Major revamp of application document display. You now see a table display of all movies, IMDBID, rating, whether and what XBMC elements have been set, etc. Display can be sorted by any column, limited by string search or any combination of genres.
***** Yes, MR does now officially support Mac OS X. I now own one of those boxes and spent considerable time making it work under OS X. The drawback I found is
- There is only a 64 bit Java. Unfortunately so far there are only 32 bit bindings from Java xulrunner. I expect 64 bit bindings soon but who knows. Therefore, under OX X only, MR will use the Lobo browser which is pure Java but does not render all that well. However, for MR's purposes (locate movies by browsing IMDB) it is entirely sufficient. Lobo kicks off at times a number of error messages which you can safely ignore and really should not seee at all unless running from the command line.
- YOU MUST BE RUNNING THE OFFICIAL 64 BIT 1.6 JAVA. It is somewhat of a pain to install but you can download it from Apple if you haven't done so, yet. Even after going through the standard install you have to create a symbolic link (ln -s) to the 1.6 version. You must also make sure that the default jar lauchner is set to 1.6 and not 1.5 if you just want to click on the file. If you click on mediareader.jar and nothing happens, go into a terminal window and enter 'java -jar mediareader.jar' (or wherever mediareader.jar exists). If this fires it up, check you jar lauchner configuration.
If you happen to make it work with Soylatte (I could not), let me know and I will provide logic to use Mozilla in that case.
Enjoy. |
