Better late than never.
Changelog:
- Ability to recognize movies by directory for any of the functions. Turn on in profile.
- Ability to rename movies by flexible custom pattern (Use title builder in profile to create name from tags and apply transformations). This was a big effort which is hopefully a useful feature. Check it out in profile and click the button next to the grayed out movie pattern. This will pop up the wizard. You can either type an expression (if you know the token names) or use the combo box to have them generated for you.
- Ability to process movies and *not* rename them (Actually, f you want renaming you have to explicitly turn it on now). The renaming is now turned off by default.
- Ability to navigate YouTube and pick a trailer. The code makes a best guess and likely navigates you to a correct page already and pops up the built-in browser. If it does not show the correct page, go to any YouTube page and click the browser's ok button (The check mark). MR will find the actual video's location and save the information. It is a good idea to subsequently force MR to actually download the trailer as YouTube pages change. Once it is downloaded it does not matter whether the actual YouTube page disappears. Download by right-clicking on the movie->Actions->Download trailer. This works for any trailer, not just YouTube. If you want to download trailers for *all* your movies, select the File menu bar option.
- Ability to automatically download trailers during scan and convert and save them as .flv files.
- Ability to gracefully cancel nfo import.
- Ability to import existing artwork as user art when importing nfos.
- Log Dialog now stays open until you close it which makes it easier to detect things and fix that didn't go quite as you wanted.
- File rename sometimes did not work due to Java not releasing file handle for memory mapped files (that was tough to diagnose).
- Code now uses XPath instead of native XML parsing, takes the 'fudge factor' out. You shouldn't notice any difference.
**** My Mac mini arrives Tuesday via FedEx. This should iron out the Mac issues once and for all.
The next drop will focus on a PDF and online Java help file. I believe Media Reader now has such a wealth of functions that most users have no idea what it can all do. Not knowing what it can do is the same as not having it at all. |
